Here's what I'm talking about today...
There was a bit of a kerfuffle for worship this week. We are blessed to have 5 people in the fellowship that can lead worship, but, maybe because of summer, we were doing a last minute scramble. It got pretty exciting... almost drastic (me leading acopolco)! But, God who is Jehovah Jireh (provider) gave us a great solution in Yvonne and Jon who volunteered to cart her keyboard to church. It was an awesome time in worship.
God is obviously doing a lot of things in the lives of people, and I'm blessed to see people responding, so open, so vulnerable and honest in their expression of worship and praise to God. I've never been in an environment like this, where week after week, this beautiful, tender, and sweet emotion is expressed to our Savior. May we never lose the memory of how we were before Christ stepped in, and the humility to express our praise and thanksgiving publicly.
I'm having fun going through these "Characteristics of Living By the Spirit" in Galatians 5 and 6... I think we are all learning and growing too.
I felt like the Holy Spirit said to me at the end of worship: "This church isn't broken, there's nothing here to fix, Andy... I'm pleased with what's happening here"
Hebrews 10:24 - Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds...
Oh, Lord, thank you for blessing us!
