If we went for coffee today, and you asked me how church was on Saturday, here's the highlights...
Randy's doing a great job with worship. Solid, baby... very happy there.
We're getting some stuff worked out with sound and sound equipment. I'm so glad that God has given us of his grace, grace for each other, and grace for the gap between reality and perfection. We all need grace.
Titus is challenging me and convicting me. I'm seeing some stuff in my heart as I'm going through this letter that I don't like. It's been good to see some of these things even though it's uncomfortable, and then go to the Lord. He's faithful to lead, guide, provide, correct, encourage and mold me to be more and more useable for his kingdom.
I have one regret from the message. I wish I would have made sure that everyone knew that I think we have some amazing, mature guys in our church, and we are blessed with so many. I think I came across giving people the impression that I don't think that our guys are good enough. I regret not making that clearer.
The prayer groups are such a blessing to observe.
We had to leave at 8pm to make room for another group to use the room. And there was one prayer group of like 8 people (they didn't listen to the instructions for 2-3 people). Anyway, one of the guys that was setting up for the next group, commented to me how nice it was to see church people praying together. There's a lot of love in the room and that's a BIG witness.
One of my kids had a full-on meltdown on the way into the car from the parking lot. I think it's almost impossible to have pride when you have kids...
Can't wait for next week!
